(02:28:46) (ron) i finished with the thymus regarding meditation and other side effects.. and maybe some other brief topic if you wish...i guess its about time to start
(02:29:44) (ron) THE ADRENAL GLANDS
(02:30:10) (ron) The adrenal glands are located on the upper anterior surface of the kidneys. Shaped like a thingyed hat, they illustrate how extensively man has developed his emotions, in that they are larger in man than in any other animal - and we certainly make full use of our emotions!
(02:30:32) (Blu) very true
(02:30:55) (ron) i was mistaken...i left off with the lyden center
(02:31:33) (ron) We are actively aware of this center in times of stress, when it pours adrenalin into the blood stream to aid us in fighting, fleeing, defending ourselves or performing some unusual feat of physical prowess.
(02:32:00) (ron) The adrenals are also the storehouse of our emotional karma, accumulated in other life experiences. Here, too, we store our anxieties. From this center comes the energy negatively expended in gossip, anger, hate, argument and grudges.
(02:32:31) (Blu) I did not realize that
(02:32:42) (ron) The constant negative use of energy at this level induces emotional instability, high blood-pressure, and certain types of heart disease. Cancer often has its roots in deep-seated hatreds or resentments, whether from this life or another. Prejudice is another form of hate too willingly indulged by far too many people. Even the lowly ulcer, status symbol of the executive, results from repressed tensions and anxieties.
(02:33:47) (ron) When, in meditation, the life force passes through the adrenals, a change for the better begins at once. Slowly but surely this energy, guided by the spiritual ideals in the mind, brings persistence, courage, drive, patience and the ability to be quiet and silent.
(02:34:41) (ron) THE NEGATIVE EMOTIONS HAVE NO ROOM TO MOVE; THEY ARE LITERALLY SQUEEZED OUT OF THE BACK DOOR ONTO THE TRASH PILE, FOR THAT SELF SAME ENERGY, ONCE USED NEGATIVELY IS NOW USED CONSTRUCTIVELY!
(02:35:17) (ron) As we all know, the chronic worrier lives in a state of permanent exhaustion. All negative emotions burn up energy. They also prevent the body from renewing and rebuilding itself. To hold animosities of any kind is to seal up the drosses and poisons in the body. To make matters worse, the poisons from these negatives create new poisons.
(02:35:54) (ron) Once we master the art of changing our attitude from the pessimistic to the optimistic, miraculous changes begin to take place in us. As the adrenal center becomes purified through the proper application of positive energy, mediumship may be developed. There is a theory that psychometry works through this center also.
(02:36:42) (ron) The developments of the fruits of the Holy Spirit enable the individual to make constructive use of his emotions in seeing, speaking of, and seeking out the good and the beautiful. He then becomes a greater channel for the good, or God, in life.
(02:37:28) (ron) THE THYMUS GLAND
(02:37:50) (ron) The thymus gland, the least known, is found behind the heart in the upper thoracic area. It is larger in children than in adults, and larger in women than in men. The latest discoveries seem to
(02:38:22) (ron) indicate that it contains the master plan for the white blood cells. In the embryo, it is the thymus that first manufactures these cells. The white blood cells are the scavengers, the guardians of the body.
(02:39:06) (ron) The thymus, as of 1963, has gained considerably in repute. It is extremely active in early life as the source of lymphoid tissues THAT ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR IMMUNITY FROM DISEASE. These cells are capable of migrating from the gland, to reproduce in other parts of the body.
(02:39:45) (ron) Disease enters the picture when the thymus becomes lazy. As a result, the body's defenses are lowered and the outcome may be rheumatoid arthritis, leukemia, and other unusual blood disorders. Malfunctioning of this gland may also occur when a tumor develops on the thymus.
(02:40:20) (ron) The thymus, being related to the heart, is always associated by man with love. The Bible substantiates the view of the readings regarding the heart... “man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.“ (I Sam. 16:7) “Search me and know my heart.” (Psalm 139:23). 'The heart is deceitful above all things” (Jer. 17:9) On the surface the intent may seem benign, but if the motive is selfish, the heart is most certainly deceitful.
(02:41:07) (ron) It seems fair to assume that one of man's innate protector's against disease lies at the seat of the thymus. Could we keep it active, rather than allowing it to harden as it does early in life, we might discover this to be the center from which comes extra protection. Since the purpose of our experiences in the earth is to learn to love one another, if we fail in this purpose we fail to safeguard the gland which immunizes us against disease and illness.
(02:41:59) (ron) As the thymus gland is associated with love and purpose, let us examine love itself. Love is scarcely recognized by the average man or woman, let alone practiced. Love in essence is GIVING, GIVING, GIVING, without thought of reciprocation or even appreciation. Too often we love others for our own sake rather than for theirs.
(02:42:44) (ron) We love them because they give us joy, not because we give them joy by serving them. Mother-love is perhaps the highest example we have in the earth of genuinely unselfish love. Not "smother" love, but the "God love" that gives and gives and gives with justice and wise purpose, subordinating self.
(02:43:28) (ron) From the Edgar Cayce readings we have these excerpts on love:
(02:43:48) (ron) "First, love is that expressed in a baby's smile: the hope, the light, the seeking and the expression of that which (in a baby) is love undefiled!
(02:44:16) (true_eagle) pure sweet love
(02:44:22) (ron) The next may be seen in the rose, as it seeks, with that which it has, to express that beauty which will glorify its Maker!
(02:44:54) (ron) “The next may be found in friendship, that kind which is without thought of self, which brings the expression of love glorified through the attunement that comes with friendship.
(02:45:08) (Blu) Never thought of a rose that way
(02:45:30) (ron) The next we find manifested in the reasons for the beauty of a song. The harmony that is the expression of the soul within, whether in instruments or in the voice raised in praise to the Giver of Light.
(02:46:13) (ron) The next expression of love is in duty fulfilled without thought of self, in a loving way.
(02:46:42) (ron) The next is in speech, by giving encouragement, speaking a kind word, being gentle in speech.
(02:47:11) (true_eagle) well said mr. cayce
(02:47:16) (ron) The next is in the glory expressed through a contented heart that knows it has taken advantage of every opportunity to serve, by going out of the way to make the lot of a neighbor more joyous and brighter.
(02:47:58) (true_eagle) a giving,,, reaching-out soul
(02:47:59) (ron) Love is also expressed in the looking forward to those days when greater and greater may be the opportunities to serve Him.
(02:48:31) (ron) This is also expressed when your own little child grasps your hand. This is not of the emotions alone, but the love of God for man."
(02:48:47) (true_eagle) ahhhhhhh to b on the path of the master ^i^
(02:49:28) (ron) The purest example of perfect love, of course, is the love of Jesus on the cross. Despite His agony of body and mind, His thoughts were all for the agony of others. Even his tormentors came under His protection in the words FATHER, FORGIVE THEM, FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO. (Luke 23:34) .
(02:50:01) (Blu) Amen
(02:51:03) (ron) “Pure love," say the readings of Edgar Cayce, is “NON-SEXUAL LOVE... giving, with no thought of receiving."
(02:51:33) (ron) The antithesis of love thrives in the egotism bred by envy, jealousy, lust, possessiveness, greed , arrogance, self-pity and self-abasement. When we become impatient and intolerant, SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS HAS STEPPED BETWEEN US AND LOVE. When the right use of love has brought with it a patience with self and with others, this is the birth of divine love.
(02:52:29) (ron) To love others is to love God and self. To be content with others is a sign of contentment with self. Not satisfaction, but contentment. To be content is to be in rapport with God, acting with His spirit. This rapport with Him results in a rapport with all of His creations, man, animal, and nature. Love opens the door to true understanding and empathy with one's fellow travelers.
(02:53:19) (ron) Love opens all doors; and another word for love is, of course, understanding. Love and understanding are interdependent. At \ this center, then, love is awakened, bringing with it considerateness, unselfishness, sincerity and honesty.
(02:54:33) (ky-mike) the truth shall set u free ^i^
(02:54:38) (ron) end of thymus gland....do you want to take a break?...to continue?...go to another topic?
(02:55:45) (WalksInSpirit) I think this is good! I'm with the crowd. Whatever the rest wants to do!
(02:55:52) (diane) continue ron
(02:55:54) (Lynn) good lesson, good teacher, you make the good choice
(02:56:02) (ron) there is much given here regarding this thymus gland....simply to give without expecting anything in return...the key to the mysteries of life
(02:56:28) (Lynn) I like to say, I don´t want a pauper´s pence. I want a king´s reward. lol
(02:56:31) (ky-mike) the key to being a better soul
(02:56:32) (ron) the bridge between spirit and earth
(02:56:34) (Blu) That is a tall order but I think it is timely for me to hear this
(02:56:52) (Blu) I have lost all empathy for the people I arrest
(02:56:54) (diane) words to feed our minds
(02:56:59) (Blu) and I have been wondering about that
(02:57:04) (Lynn) burn out?
(02:57:15) (Lynn) happens to the best
(02:57:21) (Blu) maybe Lynn, but I am looking at it as soul growth
(02:57:21) (ky-mike) yes put lost souls .. behind u
(02:57:31) (ron) you'll notice that this center is somewhat seperated from the lower three centers and much closer to the centers of the head and very close to the thyroid
(02:58:10) (ky-mike) u can let others.. pull u down .. if ! ... u let them
(02:58:24) (ron) and, yet, on the left side of the body...nice symbolism
(02:58:38) (ky-mike) yes ron
(02:58:57) (Blu) we have to overcome the earth and they are in the lower centers
(02:59:33) (ron) or maybe, not so nice if the left side is indicating that humanity mostly misapplies theis center
(02:59:38) (ky-mike) as me ma ... use to say.. rise above it... an b better 4 it
(02:59:54) (ron) ok...i'll continue on
(02:59:59) (ky-mike) k
(03:00:20) (ron) THYROID GLAND
(03:00:26) (ron) The thyroid and parathyroids, located in the throat, are related to will-power. The thyroid is somewhat like a horseshoe in shape. A horseshoe has long been accepted as a sign of good luck. If one's will is God's will, then one enjoys good fortune in life; it is God's expression of appreciation to the soul.
(03:01:37) (ron) the Will is required in daily life and with meditation in order to reach the Father and Son
(03:01:55) (ron) that was my comment
(03:02:19) (ron) From the misuse of the will for selfish and domineering ends, may come the thyroid condition known as hyper-thyroidism. When no effort is made to use the will at all, the opposite is encountered, an imbalance known as hypo-thyroidism. In the first, an excess of thyroxin is produced, causing nervousness and excitability, while in the second, apathy saps the vitality. Again, we see the importance of balance and moderation in the choices we make.
(03:03:06) (ron) Therefore, let us always pray, “NOT MY WILL, O LORD, BUT THINE.”
(03:03:29) (ron) Moderation is a highway; wasteful extravagance is the abyss on one side, and miserliness the abyss on the other.
(03:03:57) (ron) The proper function of moderation is to govern those tendencies in us which contain no evil in themselves, but which could fast become evil if left to their own devices. There is nothing wrong with a man's desire for eating or mating or drinking, but everything is wrong with gluttony, promiscuousness and alcoholism.
(03:04:36) (ron) well, the mating part still catches my attention
(03:05:14) (ron) The desire for knowledge is legitimate, but the man who finally decides he knows everything becomes unteachable; it is then that' a little learning is a dangerous thing.
(03:06:05) (Blu) I saw Joey in that last statement
(03:06:20) (Blu) and probably me too....;-)
(03:06:41) (ron) let me repeat the above note once more regarding knowledge
(03:06:46) (ron) The desire for knowledge is legitimate, but the man who finally decides he knows everything becomes unteachable; it is then that' a little learning is a dangerous thing.
(03:07:02) (Blu) why are you repeating it Ron?
(03:07:18) (ron) it reminds me certain chat encounters
(03:07:34) (Blu) LOL
(03:08:42) (ron) The desire to own property is in accord with natural law, but when it becomes an obsession to own more than anyone else, just for the sake of power for its own sake; what shall it gain a man if he loseth his own soul?
(03:09:04) (ky-mike) ahhhhh . 1 of my fav ..ron
(03:09:07) (Blu) I did not know that was in accord with natural law
(03:09:26) (ky-mike) an that that r first .. shall b last
(03:09:28) (ron) It may be argued that if we possess certain inalienable instincts and drives and passions, to moderate them would be to stifle “self-expression..” Certainly our wants should be satisfied according to our nature; but our nature is rational, not bestial; therefore moderation should govern the extent to which we indulge our likes and dislikes.
(03:09:30) (Blu) then why do I feel so guilty when I have something!
(03:10:11) (ron) apparently natural law means moderation
(03:10:36) (ky-mike) an cayce said that .. moderation
(03:10:54) (Blu) yep, but what is moderation by our standards here?
(03:10:56) (ron) To agree that man has a right to self-expression is true only when its complement is recognized too - that there is no self-expression without some degree of repression. A husband who beats his wife may be expressing himself to the full, but he is also debasing his role as a man.
(03:11:26) (ky-mike) alas .. not an easy anser
(03:11:31) (ron) Every extreme is as vicious as its opposite. But if you repress a bad temper, consideration is expressed; repress a drunken rage and human decency is not annihilated.
(03:11:53) (Blu) Amen to that one
(03:11:56) (ky-mike) to thine own self ... b true !
(03:12:02) (ron) Meditation becomes the controlling factor in making right choices.
(03:12:13) (ky-mike) the bard ..was wise to
(03:12:20) (ron) By all means let us consult our will in making choices, but in accordance with HIS will, and in moderation.
(03:12:45) (ron) When the energies flowing through the thyroid center are in accord with His will, then clairvoyance, clairaudience, telepathy and the psychic sense of smell and taste may be developed. Not all people develop the same gifts, obviously; but whichever gift best serves the individual will be his or hers to develop.
(03:13:10) (diane) Let Thy desire be my desire, oh Lord
(03:13:39) (ron) It is worthy of note that in some cases where there has been a growth on the thyroid, a degree of clairvoyance, clairaudience or telepathy has developed. When surgery removed the growth, the sensitivity disappeared also. This indicates that the sensitivity was originally caused by the unnatural pressure or constriction on the thyroid.
(03:13:48) (Blu) I was wondering about that too Ron, good point
(03:14:14) (ron) In meditation, the energy released upon the thyroid brings about THIS SAME SENSITIVITY by opening a pure and uninjured door into the psychic realms of the consciousness.
(03:14:36) (Blu) I have a tendency to compare myself to WIS and we expresss things so differntly
(03:14:38) (Anonymous) What if the thyroid has been radiated?
(03:14:46) (ron) The response of the thyroid to greater psychic awareness is much akin to visibility on a foggy day. The heavy residue of mist makes it impossible to see any great distance with clarity. The denser the atmosphere, the more limited the vision.
(03:15:22) (Lynn) as well you should, Blu. You are both fascinating individuals.
(03:15:26) (ron) In the physical body, the more materialistic we are, the denser we are spiritually. Through prayer, meditation, right thinking and right eating, the body, the mind and the spirit become lighter and more receptive to the spiritual atmosphere. We begin to perceive new and distant horizons. The fog of materialism has lifted, and ESP is free to manifest itself. According to the readings, the thyroid is one of the three most spiritual centers the gateway to the highes
(03:15:50) (Blu) Anon, I would think anything that helps it would be good, and meditation would also help
(03:16:28) (ron) finished thyroid
(03:16:30) (ky-mike) cayce was a heavy smoker an a heavy coffee... user.. so u see .. we can all b hypocrits .. even the great man !
(03:16:56) (ky-mike) we r .... human
(03:16:57) (Blu) we can spiritualize our food with prayer
(03:16:59) (ron) maybe we can take a break or even subjects...up to you guys
(03:17:19) (Lynn) Pray for the animals who gave it.
(03:17:22) (Blu) I think I would like to talk about this
(03:17:26) (Lynn) if it is animal food
(03:17:28) (diane) thanks ron...whatever everyone wants
(03:17:33) (ky-mike) k discushion
(03:17:58) (WalksInSpirit) Right, Lynn. That's what My People always do. Thank the animal for their gifts.
(03:18:09) (Blu) we are here to over come the lower chakras and it is a daily thing to choose the right responces
(03:18:10) (Lynn) god bless the Indians.
(03:18:14) (ron) do you want me to do again these two centers?...i will
(03:18:23) (Lynn) Iam grateful to be even one fourth Indian.
(02:29:44) (ron) THE ADRENAL GLANDS
