I found this article very disturbing, but informative. A must read for anyone who smokes or takes drugs.
“Certain drugs and drinks – notably alcohol and all the narcotics, including tobacco, contain matter which on breaking up volatilizes, and some of it passes from the physical plane to the astral ... When this takes place in the body of man, the rush of volatilizing matter burns away the web and therefore leaves the door open to all sorts of irregular forces and evil influences.
“It is true that Devon was somewhat depressed the day before he died, for he knew that he would soon be in trouble again ... but it was the radical thinking that came with the drug ... the coke that last day and night that opened him up again, as it had done several times in the month before, to thoughts and feelings superimposed on his own mind and consciousness from someone in deep despair ... this other being, already across a borderland – out of the body but not aware of that – said, ‘Get the gun, use the gun, that’s what you bought it for.’ Devon, in his right mind, would not have agreed that suicide was what he bought it for, but he was not in control at that particular time.
“It was not God’s choice for Devon to cooperate with the errant instructions he listened to when under the influence. It was not part of the plan. But his involvement in the aberrant behavioral scene, in and out of trouble, was part of the plan, if he felt strong enough to turn around and become a force for good: a role model for others who had stepped into such a scene and who wanted to extricate themselves. If Devon had done this, others may have had more confidence in themselves to return to normalcy, health, and wholesomeness as well. But Devon’s strength and perseverance had diminished over time so that he became less certain of his capability to change his life and more inclined to just give in, more confused and out of touch with his spiritual bearings. “
The information from the readings I gave suggested that Devon’s mistake was listening to the wrong voices in the physical plane, causing him to be open to using drugs. The drugs, in turn, caused him to be open to the wrong voices from the etheric plane. While under the influence of drugs, Devon’s thinking became quite distorted at times. He also became more vulnerable and more susceptible to the persuasion of others – whether they were in or out of a physical body. This is very typical among young people experimenting with drugs. They can genuinely hear voices in accord with their own level of vulnerability and receptivity.
