When I was a very young child I came across a metal caste of snake. It was a cobra and at one time the head of the snake had some kind of attachment on it, maybe a candle holder..who knows? Now this is a strange kind of object for a child to find, and hang on to. I have no idea what happen to it, I wish I still had it because I can't think about the Kundalini without remembering that old metal snake. It held a fascination for me then and now. It spoke to me at such a deep level that I believe it actually rekindled deep past life memories. I can remember staring at it as if I felt it held some kind of magic. Indeed I believe it did, for it is the symbol of the Kundalini. If I could have understood back then it's significance I would probably have led a very different life.
I have been listening to my VanAuken tapes on the Kundalini meditation technique. A friend and I have been discussing it and I just wanted to review the wisdom of this man's teachings. As it happens I found the very same information and I will post the link at the end of this message.
What is the Kundalini? It is the Life Force that resides in each of us!
I am sure you have noticed on the symbols for medicine, the snakes that are entertwined on the staff. An ancient symbol for the power within each of us. But it is more than energy, it is a special energy that can be used or abused. When used inappropriately the life force can dissipate, the result is aging and illness. This does not have to be.
Every day we make the choice to use or abuse the Kundalini that resides with in us. The kundalini resides in the second chakra and can be raised to regenerate our entire being. We can make a choice to live the fullness of life and follow our souls purpose, or spend if foolishly. It is not something to be done lightly, but to be done thoughtfully with the highest purpose we find within us.
You must find your souls purpose and ideals. Then you must apply in your life what you know to be right. If you go into the kundalini meditations without knowing what you are doing, without following the highest and best within you it is like giving a child a loaded gun. We are warned that we can make a monster or unleash the negative within us very easily.
LOL, now if you are looking at this post and thinking this lady really likes to play with the colors in here, you are right! But the colors of this post also correspond to the colors of the chakras from bottom to top or at least as close as I could manage with what we have. Isn't technology fun? ;D
