Journey Of A Soul Chat: 08-16-05
(02:07:03) (merri) last week we read about the Maya's
(02:07:16) (merri) it continues from there
(02:07:27) (merri) The first exodus of Atlanteans to other lands occurred as early as 28,000B.C. following the second of the upheavals. Colonies were initially established in what is now Peru, but was then called Og by the colonizing Atlanteans (some of whom must have come from the Atlantean island of that transferred name), and also in the Pyrenees Mountains that today mark the rugged border between Spain and France.
(02:08:12) (merri) Over the passing millennia before the final upheavals, there is evidence in the readings that other hardy pioneers from Atlantis journeyed by air to the high plateau region of what is now the American Southwest. There they probably encountered Lemurians entering from the opposite direction.
(02:08:58) (merri) In fact, as their vast Pacific continent had begun to experience increasingly alarming volcanic upheavals, even preceding the Atlantean disturbances, Lemurian evacuees appear to have found their way to many coastal regions of the Americas, notably in the area of lower California and further south, gradually working their way inland. In all probability, they formed the first human populations wherever they went, a brown race of evolving mixtures- the hominid
(02:09:54) (merri) Until quite recently, the oldest scientifically accepted date for human occupation in the New World was the 11,500 year-old “Clovis” site, so named for the town in New Mexico where the modern-day unearthing of flint artifacts attested to the presence of a hominid population of hunters in an era believed to coincide with the ending of the glacial age.
(02:10:43) (merri) However, not only have other flint finds pushed the earliest known North America date back to around 14,000 years ago, but bits of charcoal found in artwork scratched on the wall of a cave in Northeastern Brazil have been determined to be about 17,000 years old, according to respected British journal Nature, while further finds still being uncovered suggest that humans may have inhabited the South American continent as much as 32,000 years ago.
(02:11:31) (merri) Very interesting, to say the least. And right in line with our psychic source. But actually, based on the Cayce records, the earliest Atlantean arrivals would have descended from the Peruvian skies no more than 30,000 years ago. Any earlier arrivals, whether they crossed overland into Brazil or remained nearer the coastal areas, would presumably have originated in Lemuria not Atlantis.
(02:12:22) (merri) The Basques
(02:12:45) (merri) To understand the Basques, however, it may be necessary for us to know something about the much later Carthaginians. Phoenicians originally, who had settled on the North African coast at what is now Tunis, in the 9th century B.C., they eventually founded a powerful empire that included much of western North Africa, Spain, Sardinia, Corsica, and the western half of Sicily.
(02:13:46) (merri) A Semitic people, the Phoenicians who settled at Carthage of the New City, could trace their ancestral roots to Tyre and Sidon primarily, and their original leader was Dido, a daughter of the king of Tyre. Through much intermarriage with the dark-skinned Libyans, the Carthaginians gradually became a mixture people. It was under the famous leader Hannibal, in the third century B.C. that the campaign into Spain was undertaken, presumably in a search for copper
(02:14:50) (merri) There they encountered fierce resistance from the brave but hopelessly outnumbered Basques, the apparent descendants of the original Atlanteans. Most of the surviving male population that didn’t manage to escape into the hills was probably sold into slavery, which was a Carthaginian custom.
(02:15:38) (merri) But the Basques, as an independent and deeply religious people, somehow salvaged their heritage and survived but not without an unwanted infusion of alien blood from the Carthaginian conquerors, whose stay was fortunately a limited one. Indeed, no newcomers had ever chosen to stay for long among the Pyreneans, whether in their harsh and isolated mountain villages or the simple coastal shacks were their fisherfolk dwelt apart from others.
(02:16:35) (merri) The readings suggest that those original emigrants to both the Peruvian land, or Og, and the Pyrenees, back in 28,000B.C., were not only motivated by a concern for personal safety after the second period of upheavals. Of equal importance, there was felt urgency to build more peaceful lives for themselves in a place apart from the growing degeneracy of Atlantean society, which they believed had been responsible for the earthly turmoils and destruction.
(02:17:28) (merri) In Peru, the settlers founded the peaceful empire of the Ohums. It was the Ohums, in their dual desire for an isolated as well as secure existence, who “builded the walls across the mountains in this period,” we are told-monolithic barriers of stone and adobe, some fifteen feet wide and high, and running as far as fifty miles in length, which have mystified researchers to this day.
(02:18:21) (merri) Meanwhile, reverting again to the Basques, those Atlanteans who fled to the Pyrenees may have depended upon the natural barriers of the rugged hills all around them for their defense. It was a defense that probably remained effective until the time of Hannibal’s brutal Spanish campaign, many millennia later.
(02:19:11) (merri) Up until then, however, it had enabled the inhabitants to evolve a lifestyle of their own, rooted in religion and their pastoral pursuits, without brooking any outside interference. This long heritage of fierce separatism, which has always marked the Basques, may explain why, in several Cayce’s readings referring to later incursions into the Pyrenees region by fleeing Atlanteans during the final upheavals, few if any of the groups or individuals appear to hav
(02:20:05) (merri) outpost seems to have been regarded mostly as a transfer point to Egypt and other safety lands.
(02:20:33) (merri) to have remained there for long. Instead, that isolated Atlantean
(02:21:17) (merri) The origin of the Basques and of their language is still a vexing mystery to scholars. Some theorize that both can be traced to the Caucasus, but any solid proof of this is lacking. Certainly the language of the Basques, which they call Eskuara, has no apparent affinity with other European languages.
(02:22:06) (merri) And though the Basques have adopted the Catholic faith, they have always maintained freedom from ecclesiastical domination, whether in the appointment of their priests or the scheduling of their festivals.
(02:22:49) (merri) Among the later Atlanteans, in the last of the evacuations, Cayce referred to one named Armath, who “remained in the Pyrenean areas.” He helped to re-establish the half-forgotten truths and tenets of the original Atlantean teachings as a member of the priesthood of the Law of One. He aided much. We are informed however, the eventually “hordes from African land brought destruction to those peoples.”
(02:22:49) (cleo) i'm suprised they could do that
(02:24:11) (merri) Was Cayce alluding to the invasion of Hannibal’s troops in the third century B.C.? Presumably so. At any rate, we have no record, psychic or otherwise, of another earlier intrusion from the African continent.
(02:25:06) (merri) that's all the material for this week
(02:25:22) (merri) I have always wondered about the Basques
(02:25:23) (cleo) cool stuff
(02:25:38) (merlin) there is a remnant in the canary islands of the basques today
(02:25:48) (WalksInSpirit) VERY good info, Merri! Thanks!
(02:26:09) (merlin) there is even their blood type is differant from our types we have today.
(02:26:10) (merri) they are certainly an unusual people
(02:26:16) (ron) a very good session merri
(02:27:30) (merlin) i remember reading it , i believe it is somewhere in the ancient mysteries site of the cayce records.
(02:27:55) (cleo) that's interesting,merlin
(02:28:25) (merri) they have always been a very isolated people
(02:28:47) (merri) and seem to want it that way also
(02:29:24) (merlin) it is there , i just checked it out / it was something to do with their dna
(02:30:01) (merri) I thought it was interesting that they are a group of original Atlanteans
(02:30:05) (cleo) makes you wonder,,,,after years of evolutionand such........what parts of their histories, genetuics, and cultures are prevelant today?
(02:30:56) (merri) yes cleo, not too much is known about them even today
(02:31:02) (ron) i wonder how close their language is to the Atlantean...and if future reference will be made of it, if this so...especially those that are connected to the ARE
(02:31:11) (cleo) for example......catholics incorporated pagan traditions with their own to assimiklate pagans......
(02:31:41) (cleo) what do you think has been assimilated from atlatean culture?
(02:32:15) (merri) the Law of One
(02:32:39) (merlin) AH HA!!!!!!! O0F COURSE
(02:32:41) (cleo) since i am new...i don't kknow what that is
(02:32:42) (merri) and living that Law
(02:33:23) (merri) I think that is why they don't want interference from the outside
(02:33:37) (celine) cleo I'm lost too.
(02:33:46) (merri) they remember what happened in Atlantis
(02:34:02) (ron) that is why they isolated themselves as a group...to free themselves from the Atlantean impending corruption
(02:34:08) (cleo) what do you mean, merri......
(02:34:09) (merlin) and it goes on into egyptian culture as well with akhnaton who introduced the one god ....RA
(02:34:18) (ron) and this tendency still existes today
(02:34:31) (merri) probably so ron
(02:34:40) (cleo) oh...monotheism
(02:35:11) (merlin) inuit , wis
(02:35:18) (cleo) what do you mean.....wis

(02:35:38) (cleo) yes...i know of that
(02:35:50) (cleo) you are a trip
(02:36:25) (diane) the inuit DNA is linked to Amer Indian, merlin?
(02:36:58) (cleo) i have rad somewhere thqt some of the great thinkers of our time were atlanteans
(02:37:06) (cleo) "read"
(02:37:15) (merlin) yes, the immigrants across the land bridge and residents mingled.
(02:37:42) (diane) the Journey of Man, NGeo channel made that link...showed how they discovered it, merlin
(02:37:47) (cleo) wow, that's neat wis
(02:38:07) (merri) not only thinkers of our time but Cayce indicates leaders from World War I & II were Atlanteans
(02:39:17) (merlin) and the rest of us too merri / from that time frame.
(02:39:28) (JohnB) ooppenhiemer, enstein and others was atlanteans iguess we did it again oppenheim said merri
(02:39:28) (merri) as we read thru this journey it all seems cyclicle
(02:39:48) (cleo) yes...einstein definently
(02:39:52) (merlin) wild ....huh merri
(02:39:57) (cleo) edison?
(02:39:59) (merri) hope we are not on the downside at present!
(02:40:07) (merlin) i love this kind of material.
(02:40:23) (JohnB) even n. tesla was too
(02:40:30) (cleo) wow
(02:40:36) (cleo) i love this too
(02:41:07) (merri) and Cayce gives us so many clues and info
(02:41:32) (ron) this long, repeatble cycle never ends...humanity always loses its way towards the end of each of these great cycles..so teachers prepare a way and remind us of our spiritual heritage
(02:41:42) (merlin) anyon e evr read or see a movie about tesla ?
(02:41:45) (ron) so we start anwe, again and again
(02:41:47) (cleo) i can agree with that
(02:41:50) (merri) that seems to be the pattern ron
(02:41:50) (ron) anew
(02:41:58) (celine) But isn't that what this earth forum is about?
(02:42:06) (cleo) no...you merlin?
(02:42:06) (merri) until we get it right!
(02:42:08) (WalksInSpirit) Nope, Merlin, but I studied him some in high school.
(02:42:19) (celine) And when humanity loses it's way, do they always go back to square one?
(02:42:49) (ron) study the Great Pyramid
(02:42:53) (merlin) and believe it or not ............/ the government confcated the material after his death!!!
(02:43:00) (celine) Isn't this journey more about each individual even tho we are affected by the whole (as a unit)?
(02:43:31) (merri) yes but it is like studying ones ancestors
(02:43:41) (cleo) it is merri
(02:43:43) (celine) Do we really need to go back to square one or do we start where we left off?
(02:43:45) (cleo) it really is
(02:43:50) (ron) isn't every journey about the individual (soul)?
(02:43:57) (WalksInSpirit) It is, but at the same time, studying ourselves. :-)
(02:44:05) (merri) yes
(02:44:09) (merlin) yea, ron , with the beginning of our new age material
(02:44:21) (celine) Aren't we our ancestors really?
(02:44:30) (merri) I don't think we go back to square one
(02:44:40) (WalksInSpirit) All are One, Celine. :-)
(02:44:42) (celine) I don't think so either merri
(02:44:48) (merlin) if one believes in reincarnation.
(02:44:53) (celine) Humankind would never advance if we did
(02:45:03) (celine) We would then be chasing our tales
(02:45:17) (merri) lol, agree celine
(02:45:19) (merlin) tales or tails
(02:45:21) (cleo) no...i believe in reinarnation, but i don't think we go back to square one
(02:45:34) (ron) not really to square one, i believe...because a cycle is not a circle ...it is a spiral of life
(02:45:38) (celine) correct tails and tales....think about it....hahahahahaha!!!!!
(02:45:38) (merlin) hopefully cleo
(02:45:39) (merri) it may seem like it at times but memories prevail
(02:45:39) (merri) it may seem like it at times but memories prevail
(02:46:09) (merlin) koooooool huh everybody
(02:46:21) (WalksInSpirit) Yep! Way!
(02:46:23) (celine) very kewl merlin
(02:46:29) (cleo) there is so much to leran and experience that we could not go that far back
(02:46:34) (merri) there would be no purpose in Soul memory if we went back to square one
(02:46:35) (merlin) tales and tails , i like that makes sense too.
(02:46:47) (celine) but we could go that far within
(02:46:56) (merlin) legend and myth.
(02:48:58) (JohnB) iam in the mid of energy war hope to win merlin
(02:49:04) (merri) If we look at the Big picture of our development it is not a very long one
(02:49:21) (merri) a mere blink in time
(02:49:34) (JohnB) relearning and lose and win some
(02:49:34) (merlin) a mote in gods eye
(02:49:45) (ron) cycles within cycles...wheels within wheels
(02:50:07) (diane) ron, spoken like a true astrologer!
(02:50:13) (ron) :)
(02:50:18) (merri) one step back two steps forward!
(02:50:27) (JohnB) dont jump into the 4 dimension without reading the instructions merlin
(02:50:43) (merlin) lifes elusions i recall , i really don't know life at all........
(02:51:00) (JohnB) use proctetion
(02:51:36) (ron) the earth will end back to where it started a year ago...but not exactly....it laso has travelled, perhaps thousands, millions of miles, perhaps in an outward direction
(02:59:21) (cleo) merri that was a great bit you put on
(02:59:38) (merri) thankyou, my pleasure
(02:59:39) (diane) merri does it every week

(03:00:03) (diane) twice a week, merri? evening is a dream chat
(03:00:09) (merri) this is all info from Cayce's Journey of the Soul
(03:00:17) (WalksInSpirit) Yep! A great chat as usual, Merri!
(03:00:28) (merlin) awesome!
