Journey Of A Soul Chat: 08-09-05
(01:19:36) (merri) Today much of the material on our journey is about the Maya's
(01:20:11) (merri) In the 1930’s, a survey party was sent out by one of the large banana growers in Central America to find suitable new planting areas in the Costa Rican interior. What they found instead, as they were hacking their way through a thick tangle of vines, was a small clearing in which a large smooth, perfectly round stone about six feet in diameter was resting like a votive object upon a slightly raised platform.
(01:20:52) (merri) The platform itself was paved with flat river-pebbles. Looking further, the baffled crew found many more of the curious stone spheres-some large, some small, but all amazingly smooth and round, and resting like the first on altar-like foundations. Digging underneath some of these, in the suspicion that they might mark grave sites, they found nothing at all.
(01:21:31) (merri) Nearby, however, archaeological experts called to the scene came upon shards of crude pottery estimated to be several hundred years old. It was incongruously assumed, by mere geographical association, that the crafters of the crude pottery of relatively recent vintage must also have made the incredibly perfect, polished stone spheres.
(01:22:12) (merri) For our part, our psychic source leaves no doubt as to the sphere’s ancient origins or purpose. We know, of course, that the stones were first used in early Atlantean religious ceremonies to contact “the sources of light” through their magnetized influence. Later they were adapted to more mundane usage in connection with propelling the crystal-powered air fleet and surface vessels.
(01:23:05) (merri) Finally, large numbers of them were apparently transported to Mesoamerica by fleeing Atlanteans, including Iltar, prior to the demise of their island empire. Made of highly polished granite, a substance containing crystalline elements, Cayce had explained that the Atlantean initiates listened to the oracles that came through the stones, the crystals, that were prepared for communications in what ye now know as radio.
(01:24:23) (merri) ever receive a strange communication from your radio?
(01:24:36) (WalksInSpirit) Yep
(01:24:53) (merri) I have a friend who did
(01:25:09) (ron) tell us
(01:25:22) (diane) what do you mean by strange?
(01:25:32) (merri) she was looking for a music station
(01:26:02) (merri) when a strange voice with much static started coming thru
(01:26:53) (merri) it sounded very familiar to her
(01:27:34) (merri) the voice called her by her nickname
(01:27:51) (merri) it was a name her father use to call her
(01:28:06) (diane) ok that IS strange!
(01:28:11) (merri) he had passed away the year before
(01:29:20) (merlin) anyone seen frequency
(01:29:21) (merri) her name was Peggy and he use to call her Peg of my heart
(01:29:38) (WalksInSpirit) This reminds me of that movie "Frequency" with Dennis Quaid.
(01:29:42) (merri) and those are the words he used
(01:30:11) (diane) never saw it
(01:30:36) (merri) didn't see that one
(01:31:22) (merri) When and why did the Altanteans make a decision to remove the spheres from Yucatan and transport them to the interior of Costa Rica? Although we do not find present-day Costa Rica mentioned anywhere in the Cayce readings, we must conclude that a considerable number of Atlanteans, in a second move that probably coincided with the pole shift and subsequent disruptions, chose to relocate in that southwesterly direction
(01:32:06) (merri) rather than follow the northward route to other exiting Atlanteans. A sizable number of the stone spheres were apparently taken along for mainly religious reasons. This is deduced from the altar-like beds on which they were found by their 20th century discoverers.
(01:32:43) (merri) Some archaeologist, for lack of contrary evidence, have tended to place the so-called “Early Formative” Period of Maya civilization at a time-span from 2500B.C. to 300A.D., during which time they believe that a hunting and gathering lifestyle was practiced. They estimate that this gave way at last to a settled village existence only after 300A.D.
(01:33:27) (merri) Supposedly this date marks the beginning of what has been termed the time of the greatest cultural achievements, and has therefore been designated the “Classic Period.” We need hardly mention that this dating sequence totally ignores a far earlier culture, in the days of the Atlantean and Lemurian occupations, respectively, with their much more remarkable achievements that have yet to be unearthed.
(01:34:12) (merri) However, in coastal Belize nearby, surveys conducted by an adventuresome archaeologist named Richard S. MacNeish have disclosed existing sites attesting to a settled civilization on the Yucatan Peninsula as far back as 9,000B.C. a period not too long after the Universal Deluge.
(01:35:03) (merri) It is the first bit of scientific evidence to turn up in Yucatan which corroborates our psychic source. In time, hopefully, we can expect more.
(01:35:27) (merri) The Maya, in their late-blossoming culture, undoubtedly owed an enormous debt to their Atlantean predecessors. Not only the architectural skills reflected in the temples and palaces of the Maya in their so-called Classic Period, but their impressive knowledge of numbers and the stars, as well as their exquisitely wrought hieroglyphs just now being deciphered, attest to an inherited Atlantean influence.
(01:36:25) (merri) Whatever the Maya may later have acquired culturally from other occupying groups, such as the Lemurians, the Toltecs and Olmecs, the wandering Canaanites with their Baal worship, or occasional independent bands of invading Aztecs, it could hardly have matched the initial impact made by the highly civilized Atlanteans upon a primitive and isolated people.
(01:36:58) (merri) Upon their arrival in Yucatan, said Cayce, most of the first pioneers from Atlantis were males, not only in Iltar’s group but in several successive waves of early arrivals who came to prepare the way for later evacuees. Consequently they sought out female companions for themselves among the relatively backward native population.
(01:37:36) (merri) To demonstrate the impact of this blood infusion upon the evolution of the Maya, we can turn to a reading Cayce gave for one of those who had been “among the firstborn from the combination.” Upon maturity, she became a priestess, making for the use of symbols and signs…drawing upon the activities in the heavens as well as the growth of vegetation.”
(01:38:21) (merri) It was thus, in all probability, that the first religion came to be introduced to the forerunners of the Maya, well ahead of the corrupting Lemurian influence, or that of the later Olmecs and Toltecs, and certainly many millennia before the Spaniards and
(01:38:57) (merri) Christianity appeared on the scene with their paradoxical mixture of plundering and piety.
(01:39:47) (merri) In a 1970 publicity shot of Hugh Lynn Cayce, he was caught in a contemplative pose. It is little wonder that the son of the late psychic, Edgar Cayce, was thus engaged in ponderous thought. For the past several minutes, he had been quietly gazing at an utterly improbable object which now rested on a table at his right.
(01:40:30) (merri) The object was a lifesized skull of pure rock crystal brought back from British Honduras by the British explorer, F.A. Mitchell-Hedges. An ancient masterpiece, the skull was so exquisitely sculpted in every detail, without trace of a traditional sculpting tool of any known type, that its likes would be well nigh impossible to replicate today. Its creation suggests some unfamiliar form of laser art, or other exotic technique.
(01:41:54) (JohnB) its delitium crystal ? merri
(01:42:23) (merri) could be John....are you familiar with it?
(01:46:02) (WalksInSpirit) Merri, I found a tidbit in a post I had done way back on Red Path about the History of Crystals.
(01:46:24) (merri) please tell us, WIS
(01:46:29) (WalksInSpirit) Mayan Indians used quartz crystals for both the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Some Mexican Indian tribes believed that the souls of those who led good lives would go into crystals.
(01:48:05) (merri) does it say how they used the crystals, WIS?
(01:49:04) (WalksInSpirit) The indigenous peoples of North, Central, and South America used crystals widely for spiritual, ceremonial, and healing purposes, and served practical purposes, as well. The ancient Mexicans, for example, made mirrors out of pyrite.
(01:49:25) (WalksInSpirit) Obsidian served both practical and ritual purposes. The Mayans used it for ceremonial knives, and and other tribes believed that it served to sharpen both outer and inner vision.
(01:50:36) (WalksInSpirit) Mayan Indians used quartz crystals for both the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Some Mexican Indian tribes believed that the souls of those who led good lives would go into crystals.
(01:50:44) (JohnB) from atlantis i think the scroll is digital message imprinted in the crystals
(01:51:59) (WalksInSpirit) That's interesting, JohnB, because computer chips are made from silicon.
(01:51:59) (diane) Anyone see Riddles of the Lost Cultures on tv?
(01:52:02) (merri) very interesting WIS, I have read about them using obsidian for knives
(01:52:53) (merlin) is that on the national geo channel diane?
(01:52:58) (diane) some english or irish or scottish geologist thinks Atlantis was in in Andes
(01:53:14) (diane) and got wiped out by a volcano
(01:53:36) (merri) the mountains?
(01:53:45) (diane) yes...
(01:54:06) (merri) what led them to that conclusion?
(01:54:18) (diane) the eruption was so strong it even wiped out the volcano
(01:54:32) (diane) studying the stratification
(01:54:44) (WalksInSpirit) Whoa
(01:54:53) (diane) a layer of soil, then many layers of ash
(01:55:00) (merri) it could have been another culture
(01:55:04) (diane) no one saw the program?
(01:55:16) (merri) I didn't
(01:55:21) (merlin) i think i did diane....
(01:55:41) (diane) cause i am not good with remembering details
(01:55:52) (merlin) last nite at 7 pm on ngeo
(01:56:01) (diane) yes, merlin
(01:56:03) (merri) Cayce's theory makes more sense to me
(01:57:00) (diane) actually, i think he believed that it Atlan....took up the continent of S. America
(01:57:17) (merri) especially the part about it breaking up at three different times
(01:58:00) (diane) did alot of commerce with Greece, according to him, many atlantians got to greece and passed down the stories
(01:58:18) (diane) plato passed them on
(01:58:48) (diane) i think there are hundreds of theories on it...
(01:59:06) (merri) I'm sure there are
(01:59:30) (merri) it's fascinating to speculate about it
(01:59:56) (merlin) does anyone really believe that it was within the mediterranean sea? i don't
(02:00:10) (merri) why not merlin
(02:00:52) (JohnB) sargassoos sea merrling
(02:00:53) (merri) the earth looked very different at that time
(02:01:08) (JohnB) its a powerplant hide there
(02:01:18) (merlin) because it is said that it lay beyond the pillars of gibralter for 1
(02:01:19) (WalksInSpirit) I think it was a LARGE land mass. As large, if not larger than the Americas. So, it prolly spanned the globe!
(02:01:41) (JohnB) mexican gulf were is one poweplant bermuda triangel
(02:01:53) (ron) the Atlantic Ocean
(02:02:42) (diane) surrounded by atlantic ocean?
(02:03:00) (Roz) I had the impression Atlantis was about the size of Australia
(02:03:02) (merlin) also explain the sargasso sea ?/ it could have been off the eastern coast of one of the islands .
(02:03:08) (JohnB) if some one can triangulate the different pyramids on earth you ll find the hidden lands of lemurian and atlantis
(02:03:33) (merlin) by satellite maybe
(02:03:50) (ron) how do you think the Atlantic Ocean got its name? there must be something in ancient history that may have been the cause
(02:04:02) (merlin) underwater sites
(02:04:10) (merri) that's a thought ron
(02:04:10) (diane) for sure, ron
(02:04:24) (WalksInSpirit) Yep, I was thinkin that, Ron
(02:04:42) (merlin) atlas held up the world according to the mediterranean cultures
(02:05:03) (ron) yes merlin...Atlas
(02:05:13) (merri) from Cayce's description Atlantis was a huge land mass
(02:05:17) (WalksInSpirit) Something stuck in the consciousness and it came to the surface when the dude said "Ahh.. we'll call this the Atlantic Ocean!"
(02:05:20) (JohnB) Atlas is a greec good
(02:05:42) (ron) now that makes sense WIS:)
(02:05:42) (merlin) then broken up in the first upheaval
(02:06:20) (Roz) well huge could be a ambigious term
(02:06:45) (JohnB) why not north and south poles?
(02:06:50) (merri) somewhere I have that description
(02:07:23) (ron) that is where you enter Hollow Earth :)
(02:07:40) (merlin) too bad we don't have nick here i 'd like to ask him about the mid -atlantic ridge and sea floor spreading....
(02:07:49) (JohnB) nope its big pyramid in giza Roz
(02:08:30) (JohnB) some many stones as many souls entering earth Ron
(02:08:32) (JohnB) hermes
(02:08:44) (merlin) hermes /thoth
(02:08:45) (JohnB) is the builder of giza pyramid
(02:09:28) (merlin) anyone ever try to read the emerald tablets ?
(02:09:41) (JohnB) the pyramid is installed in all souls who was at that place building the pyramid
(02:10:17) (merri) what are the emerald tablets merlin?
(02:12:10) (ron) the Emerald Tablets have only a speculative origins
(02:12:30) (merlin) its a book / an interpretation
(02:12:50) (ron) i have them somewhere
(02:13:54) (merlin) the dweller on two planets / i think it was probably thoth / hermes
(02:14:29) (merlin) they were tablets
(02:15:15) (merlin) about egypt , the pyramids , the halls of amenti beneath the pyramid
(02:16:10) (merlin) a city beneath the sand
(02:16:28) (patricia) merlin, is this a book you read?
(02:16:44) (merlin) yes patricia
(02:17:06) (patricia) do you remember the name of the book?
(02:17:22) (merlin) another part of it was about a starship buried beneath the great pyramid
(02:20:32) (merlin) ok here we go ...........te emerald tablets of thoth the atlantean by doreal
