(08:30:21) (Bill) Are we focused and ready to get on with vertue and understanding :o)
(08:32:02) (Bill) “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” (Phil 4.8)
(08:32:29) (Bill) AFFIRMATION: Let virtue and understanding be in me, for my defense is in Thee O lard, my Redeemer; for Thou hearest the prayer of the upright in heart. (262-17, A-14.) Amen
(08:32:40) (Cris) Amen
(08:32:49) (WalksInSpirit) Nunwe
(08:32:50) (merri) Amen
(08:32:55) (patricia) Amen
(08:33:05) (Raleigh) Amen
(08:33:09) (mark) Amen
(08:33:20) (Roz) Amen
(08:33:24) (Cris) Amen
(08:33:24) (Raleigh) Amen
(08:34:36) (Bill) Introduction: In defining virtue and understanding, we must remember that these words are used here in their fuller meaning as expressions or activities of the soul or spirit forces, not as mental or emotional concepts. To establish a common ground, let us say that to be true to that which is pure in our purposes is virtue.
(08:35:10) (Bill) Virtue is full cooperation that prepares the way for enlightening and uplifting humanity. Virtue is keeping ourselves in tune with Creative Force, enabling us to know ourselves as we are known by others. Virtue is holding steadfastly to the Ideal that is set in Him, the Lord of Lords and King of Kings.
(08:35:49) (Bill) Virtue is pureness of heart, pureness of soul, and pureness of mind that come through His Spirit bearing witness with our spirit. Virtue is the seasoning of faith, the essence of hope, and the crowning element of truth ~~ an attribute of God.
(08:36:24) (Bill) True understanding is beyond the reason of the senses. It is the power to experience and interpret the laws that govern the expression of Creative Force, or God, in and through the physical, mental, and spiritual bodies of mankind. Where there is virtue there will be understanding, for one follows the other.
(08:36:59) (Bill) Understanding is the reward of virtue. With virtue, therefore, comes understanding, for the two are as the tenon and the mortise, they fit one with the other. Knowledge is not always understanding. Daily many experience miracles of which they have no understanding.
(08:38:01) (Bill) . Few that have mere knowledge get understanding. An understanding of the mysteries of life comes to those only who make a close approach to the Throne. We may know the course of the stars, the intricate formulae of mathematics, and the secrets of sciences, but we cannot understand God’s laws
(08:39:04) (Bill) laws until we have experienced that closeness with the divine that makes us realize that we are part of His laws, rather than mere observers of them. It was no miracle to those who understood Stephen when he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing on the right hand of God.”
(08:40:27) (Bill) (Acts 7.56.)
(08:40:44) (Bill) .) It was no miracle to the Master when He fed the five thousand with five loaves and two fishes, for He understood the law of supply. It requires an understanding of God’s law (love), when such a message is heard even today as, “Lo, I am present with you in this room ~
(08:41:24) (Bill) ~~ I have chosen you as ye have chosen me. Keep the way thou knowest, keep the path thou hast trod, for He is able to deliver thee in every trial, and unto him that is faithful comes the crown of life. As I am lifted up in thy consciousness, so will I be lifted up in the consciousness of others.” (P.R.)
(08:42:24) (Bill) With such an understanding comes a finer and more sincere relationship with others, and a higher spiritual concept of self. We link virtue and understanding because they are expressions of the activities of the soul forces.
(08:42:43) (Raleigh) yes bill how the fiha nd the bread were multiplied is hard to understan dok
(08:42:57) (Bill) Virtue built into the mind is the only sure path to true understanding. Knowledge assists when it is in harmony and in accord with the Ideal; otherwise, it may become a barrier, a curse, and a dark pit from which it is hard to escape.
(08:43:38) (Bill) Virtue and Understanding Are Spiritual: Those of us who seek virtue and understanding must walk with God. We never sink so low that we do not at sometime feel a longing to look up, and to seek something higher than our own selfish desires.
(08:44:06) (Raleigh) so vitue is living as we learn a good and honest life you mean ok bil l
(08:44:13) (Raleigh) yes/
(08:44:43) (Raleigh) define virtue as you undersstand the meaning please bill ty
(08:44:51) (Bill) when we read what is posted Ral quite often the next paragh answers the quest
(08:44:55) (Bill) Often it takes only a song, a kind word, or a friendly deed to cause the fire of hope to leap and such a prayer to be uttered as “Lord, be merciful to me a sinner!”
(08:45:31) (Bill) We may be counted worthy to point out the way only after we have walked the way with Him, who was tempted in all ways like unto us, yet without sin.
(08:45:56) (Bill) If our hearts are open to the consciousness that comes from abiding in Him, there will be no misunderstandings, for the power of the Holy Spirit will awaken in each of us that which was ours in the beginning.
(08:46:23) (Bill) . The desire for virtue and understanding is already within. Spirit cries to spirit, “Purify me, cleanse me! Give me back my first estate, my virtue, my understanding, my God!” As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after Thee, O God.” (Ps. 42.1.)
(08:46:54) (Bill) May our aspirations be expressed in the following words: O Thou divine and celestial spark, alive in some, dormant in others ~~ Virtue, Understanding, Creative Force, God ~~ have Thy own way in our hearts and lives, we pray! Amen
(08:47:19) (Roz) Amen

(08:50:15) (Bill) i chose this home work for selfish reasons because the last time i did it was in 1998 according to what i wrote in my book
(08:50:50) (Bill) Things to think: Each thought and act adds its vibration to my development. What sort of “house” I’m I building in my daily thoughts and actions?
(08:50:57) (Raleigh) oh no you have a record of all the chats bill?
(08:50:57) (Bill) “What we do not possess we cannot give. What we do not live we cannot teach others to live.”

(08:52:36) (Cris) Keeping notes is a good way to stay on track with spiritual growth
(08:52:59) (Cris) It reminds you of your spiritual goals
(08:53:03) (Bill) for the benifit of new comers and each of us as well i'll post the introduction.
(08:53:13) (Bill) Introduction: In defining virtue and understanding, we must remember that these words are used here in their fuller meaning as expressions or activities of the soul or spirit forces, not as mental or emotional concepts. To establish a common ground, let us say that to be true to that which is pure in our purposes is virtue.
(08:53:27) (Bill) yes Cris and also how fast time flys :o)
(08:54:02) (Bill) Virtue is full cooperation that prepares the way for enlightening and uplifting humanity. Virtue is keeping ourselves in tune with Creative Force, enabling us to know ourselves as we are known by others. Virtue is holding steadfastly to the Ideal that is set in Him, the Lord of Lords and King of Kings.
(08:54:22) (WalksInSpirit) I keep a daily general journal, a psychic journal, and a dream journal. :-)
(08:54:40) (Bill) enabling us to know ourselves as we are known by others. how many have thought of it in this manner?
(08:55:03) (Bill) . Virtue is pureness of heart, pureness of soul, and pureness of mind that come through His Spirit bearing witness with our spirit. Virtue is the seasoning of faith, the essence of hope, and the crowning element of truth ~~ an attribute of God.
(08:56:07) (Bill) that is your explanation of virtue Ral.
(08:56:14) (Raleigh) yes ty
(08:56:41) (Bill) True understanding is beyond the reason of the senses. It is the power to experience and interpret the laws that govern the expression of Creative Force, or God, in and through the physical, mental, and spiritual bodies of mankind. Where there is virtue there will be understanding, for one follows the other.
(08:56:55) (Eileen) through His Spirit bearing witness with our spirit, means what Bill?
(08:57:38) (Bill) when we are expressing God's will in our actions Eileen?
(08:58:10) (CoolRunningWaters) How do you express Gos
(08:58:25) (Bill) maybe CRW can put it into words we can understand :o)
(08:58:32) (Roz) and our christness bearing witness w/ the Christ
(08:58:46) (Eileen) kinda thought He was standing there beside you, as you go about your way
(08:59:24) (Bill) He is Eileen its up to us to except and manifest it
(08:59:28) (Eileen) so not like witnessing in a court or something?
(08:59:32) (CoolRunningWaters) When self is laid aside one Knows when one has allowed the Divine Self to move in.
(08:59:39) (Bill) Understanding is the reward of virtue. With virtue, therefore, comes understanding, for the two are as the tenon and the mortise, they fit one with the other. Knowledge is not always understanding.
(08:59:42) (CoolRunningWaters) Your mind is still, but you know.
(09:00:02) (friend_to_mankind) amen
(09:00:03) (CoolRunningWaters) Your mind is still, yet you have every answer as nedded.
(09:00:12) (friend_to_mankind) amen
(09:00:26) (Bill) . Daily many experience miracles of which they have no understanding. Few that have mere knowledge get understanding. An understanding of the mysteries of life comes to those only who make a close approach to the Throne.
(09:00:42) (Raleigh) yes el / be still and know i am god / as in meditation say
(09:00:46) (Eileen) meant to ask too, what are tenon and mortise?
(09:00:50) (CoolRunningWaters) It is like when a master violinest playus their instument....they are not thinking...they are in "the Flow"
(09:01:10) (Raleigh) wood planks fit together
(09:01:20) (Bill) a very tight clean joint Eileen generally made in wood but can be any m,aterial
(09:01:25) (Raleigh) tounge and groove el
(09:01:45) (Eileen) thanks for the explanations, Yall
(09:02:00) (Bill) . We may know the course of the stars, the intricate formulae of mathematics, and the secrets of sciences, but we cannot understand God’s laws until we have experienced that closeness with the divine that makes us realize that we are part of His laws, rather than mere observers of them.
(09:02:22) (Raleigh) oh now i like this one bill for some reason
(09:02:54) (Bill) and how do we do this? We live in accordance to the laws ans see the results is the best way i can think of.
(09:03:01) (CoolRunningWaters) When the mind is still, your True Self can be heard, Your True Self can come to the surface to allow Your True Individuality to shine through.
(09:04:06) (Bill) . It was no miracle to those who understood Stephen when he said, “Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing on the right hand of God.” (Acts 7.56.) It was no miracle to the Master when He fed the five thousand with five loaves and two fishes, for He understood the law of supply.
(09:04:09) (Cris) working in tune with divine order rather than ego
(09:04:21) (Raleigh) as today i was spinning el / so isat in the sun not reading not anything eyes closed not even listening to sound and just / hmmmm
(09:04:23) (Anonymous) when you live in a world that does not understand a person who exists as you say... they will experience sorrow within because they are able to see more than they sometimes wish they could turn away from for a while but...know they can not because to do so would be to leave existing in truth..
(09:04:26) (Raleigh) was
(09:05:01) (Raleigh) silence has very great power el
(09:05:43) (Bill) Anon sorrow is only for lack of understanding the big pic.
(09:05:45) (Eileen) Anon, could you put that another way?
(09:06:17) (Bill) . It requires an understanding of God’s law (love), when such a message is heard even today as, “Lo, I am present with you in this room ~~ I have chosen you as ye have chosen me.
(09:06:32) (Raleigh) of coarse sound as music can span the finite to the infinite please know this as well el
(09:07:00) (Bill) Keep the way thou knowest, keep the path thou hast trod, for He is able to deliver thee in every trial, and unto him that is faithful comes the crown of life. As I am lifted up in thy consciousness, so will I be lifted up in the consciousness of others.” (P.R.)
(09:07:14) (Raleigh) walks brought thiiis to my attention today about music as ec sayz ok
(09:07:19) (ron) amen
(09:07:23) (Anonymous) do you not thnk bill that Yeshua felt sorrow when He cried out to His Father in the garden? what about the times Yeshua would speak of how much longer He would have to be among those that just didnt seem to see no matter how much turth He spoke
(09:07:25) (WalksInSpirit) :-)
(09:07:31) (Eileen) "able to deliver thee in every trial"
(09:07:36) (Raleigh) :)
(09:07:45) (CoolRunningWaters) He had yet to Overcome.
(09:08:13) (Qrious) I thought he said he wanted to Gather them under his wing.. like a chicken.
(09:08:49) (Anonymous) just because He delivers you does not mean you are without feelings and the emotions we experience in this body.
(09:08:55) (Bill) yes Anon just as we feel sorrow but with true understanding of the Love of our Father sorrow is only of this earth
(09:09:08) (peaches) hello everyone, this is my first time on....i used to be a member of ARE years ago.....
(09:09:15) (Raleigh) k :)
(09:09:25) (friend_to_mankind) there is a condition that must be met in order to rightly divide the Word of God
(09:09:40) (Qrious) yah.. he delivered us.. but whats the point on the touchy feely thing?
(09:10:03) (Raleigh) and what is that ftm?
(09:10:07) (Bill) .) With such an understanding comes a finer and more sincere relationship with others, and a higher spiritual concept of self. We link virtue and understanding because they are expressions of the activities of the soul forces. Virtue built into the mind is the only sure path to true understanding.
(09:10:11) (CoolRunningWaters) Once one Overcomes as Jesus did on the day of His Crucifiction, life will then take on a much more universal napproach to all dealings with youir fellow man.
(09:10:18) (CoolRunningWaters) Your a rock.
(09:10:34) (friend_to_mankind) The answer is in II Timothy
(09:10:54) (Bill) . Knowledge assists when it is in harmony and in accord with the Ideal; otherwise, it may become a barrier, a curse, and a dark pit from which it is hard to escape.
(09:11:10) (Raleigh) ok ty ftm
(09:11:21) (Eileen) ha, well said Bill
(09:11:31) (Bill) Virtue and Understanding Are Spiritual: Those of us who seek virtue and understanding must walk with God. We never sink so low that we do not at sometime feel a longing to look up, and to seek something higher than our own selfish desires.
(09:11:35) (Qrious) the answer of what to do to live with God on his hill is in Psalms.. It answers the mind set to have to achieve your goal.
(09:11:52) (CoolRunningWaters) IAs Cayce gave, "Don't allow your love to become personal....keep it Universal."
(09:11:55) (Qrious) Psalms 15 to be exacting.
(09:12:19) (Anonymous) Yeshua's love was universal and yet he did feel sorrow

(09:12:57) (CoolRunningWaters) Before then He was not compleate.
(09:13:11) (Bill) Often it takes only a song, a kind word, or a friendly deed to cause the fire of hope to leap and such a prayer to be uttered as “Lord, be merciful to me a sinner!”
(09:13:20) (Cris) Blessings all - thanks for the lesson
(09:13:21) (Bill) yes Joey
(09:13:25) (CoolRunningWaters) Even in the final hour He slipped as He cried out according to Cayce.

(09:13:52) (Raleigh) isaid that today bill all could be lost but there is always hope
(09:14:03) (friend_to_mankind) in all ways he was both man and God
(09:14:19) (CoolRunningWaters) As Cayce gave the most important teachings Jesus gave were those He gave aftewr He arrose.
(09:14:26) (Bill) We may be counted worthy to point out the way only after we have walked the way with Him, who was tempted in all ways like unto us, yet without sin.
(09:14:48) (CoolRunningWaters) AQs were we Q....before the world was.
(09:15:14) (Bill) If our hearts are open to the consciousness that comes from abiding in Him, there will be no misunderstandings, for the power of the Holy Spirit will awaken in each of us that which was ours in the beginning.
(09:15:20) (Raleigh) before the worlds were

(09:17:30) (Raleigh) say your name when you pray / ec said this i am sure of it
(09:17:52) (Qrious) The Only.. to say that there is a hierarchy is to place others below us.. and God is not a respecter of anyone.

(09:12:46) (CoolRunningWaters) Hello gillyAs Cayce gave He did not Overcome till the final hour.
(09:12:47) (Raleigh) he felt all yes
(09:12:52) (Anonymous) sorrow is a condition of this human body just as physcial pain is the condtion of the physical flesh
(09:12:56) (Qrious) he wepted.. shortest verse in the Bible.. but whats the point.
(09:13:45) (Qrious) he was created flawless CRW.. before the world was.. its written.
(09:15:20) (Raleigh) before the worlds were
(09:15:26) (Qrious) he is the only begotten.. those are shoes too big for me to brag about.
(09:15:37) (CoolRunningWaters) Al werer Created Flawless, it what we did after He Created us that brought separation.
(09:15:46) (friend_to_mankind) many are called few are chosen,Bill
(09:15:56) (CoolRunningWaters) He is the First Begotten.
(09:16:00) (Bill) Q what does your point have to do with virtue?
(09:16:03) (Raleigh) dear lord may i have that state with thee that was bfore the worlds were says raleigh
(09:16:22) (CoolRunningWaters) The First to Overcome the Flesh Being Reborn In Spirit according to cAyce.
(09:16:37) (Raleigh) ec did say that when we pray state your name ec said this iam posotive
(09:16:57) (Raleigh) yup
(09:16:59) (Qrious) virtue.. I was talking about the spirit.. the light the life.. Jesus.. If its virtue we are talking about.. then I will have to catch up.
(09:17:30) (Bill) . The desire for virtue and understanding is already within. Spirit cries to spirit, “Purify me, cleanse me! Give me back my first estate, my virtue, my understanding, my God!”
(09:17:30) (Raleigh) say your name when you pray / ec said this i am sure of it
(09:17:52) (Qrious) The Only.. to say that there is a hierarchy is to place others below us.. and God is not a respecter of anyone.
(09:17:56) (Raleigh) hmmmm
(09:18:03) (Raleigh) no 1 see 6that?
(09:18:20) (Raleigh) edgar cayce saiod that at the start of prayer
(09:18:24) (CoolRunningWaters) How far under is evil from Holy? Just under, that's all. Cayce
(09:18:24) (Qrious) Its written the Lord thy God is One.. not and then theres'.. uh....
