Whew that was NASTY! I could not believe my eyes when I saw that fiasco. But I can understand it. The adrenaline flows and the frustrations mount! Who let the fans in by the way? That is purely stupid. ;D
For me this is a fine example of group Karma, and I am not just talking about basketball. We train these guys, soldiers, police officers to be agressive and use their physical abilities to control and win. Who can be surprised when they loose control?
The lack of police security there was a big mistake, all those drunks who threw objects should be prosecuted.
In my opinion these guys need to go through training on how to control the emotional impulses in situations like this. It is not fair to give them all this adrenaline and then not train them on how to control it. This is true for everyone in the public eye, cops and military. Mothers admonitions of "don't hit your brother and be sweet" are just not enough in a situation like this!

He said he would have fired the guy. Hmmm, should we give this ball player another chance? We need to hold these guys to a higher standard. Sad isn't it.
