What is the creation of consciousness? These are questions we think about when we begin to meditate because in deep meditation you are in an altered state of consciousness. Dr. Henry Reed offers a valuable insight at this link and provides parts of his book! What is consciousness? What is the relation of personal consciousness to that of the Creator? When Carl Jung wrote his book, "Answer to Job," he struck the spark that has led to a revolution in our understanding of the relation of personal psychology to spiritual concerns. In this section, you will read students' attempt to understand a major study of this seminal work as it applies to their own lives. Please visit this site! www.creativespirit.net/learners/consciousness/index.htm

The Heart of the Message"To reach the heart of the message Jesus delivered 2,000 years ago, we first need to realize that it’s highly improbable that either creeds or dogmas alone will move us a millimeter closer to heaven, regardless of how effusively or devoutly we may recite them. Then we can begin to sweep the theological clutter from the path and find the lost lane leading back to heaven." "The difference in the way the spiritual energy is allowed to work within us – either for oneself or for the sake of oneness – places us in stark contrast to Jesus, whose mind was in harmony with the mind of the Maker and reflected His divinity. And in the final days of His life, Jesus became the Christ, the state of being which is necessary to redeem our birthright, or oneness with God. Cayce’s psychic suggestion to many persons was to attune themselves to the same Christ-Consciousness that Jesus finally attained during his last days on Earth. The traditional view is that Jesus and Christ are one and the same. There is a distinction by Cayce that is well worth noting, because it’s also at the heart of Jesus’ message. The mind of Christ, which is dormant in the soul, is a higher state of consciousness, one which may be awakened by our wills, because it exists in every soul. Jesus was the man, the personality, and Christ is the mind of the Maker awakened in the soul when it chooses to live at one with its Creator. The psychic psychic readings emphasize that Jesus is the pattern, and Christ is the power; that is, Jesus embodied and demonstrated the power of the Maker’s mind. Also, note the dynamics referred to in the following excerpt from the readings: He, that Christ-Consciousness, is that first spoken of in the beginning when God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And that is the light manifested in the Christ. First it became physically conscious in Adam. And as in Adam we all die, so in the last Adam – Jesus, becoming the Christ – we are all made alive. Not unto that as of one, then. For we each meet our own selves, even as He; though this did not become possible, practical in a world experience until He, Jesus, became the Christ and made the way. (2879-1) It was by manifesting the Christ Consciousness within Himself that Jesus became the Savior – showing that all was not lost and there is a way back to oneness with God. His achievement also must have registered in all earthbound souls to reveal that the spiritual realm is still accessible by demonstrating how to reverse the process that brought us here. It is this state of mind Jesus meant when He referred to Himself as “the way, the truth, and the life” and added that “no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6) This consciousness is the selfless expression of the Maker’s mind, a mind we all can choose to nurture within, if we turn our mind and will to it, as shown 2,000 years ago. s the above excerpt implies, it’s an in- Adividual endeavor dependent on our understanding of who we are and persistently cultivating an unselfish consciousness. Thus, we are able to kindle this state of mind which already exists, albeit dormant, within us. Cayce confirmed that Jesus is the Savior because He showed us the way out of here – out of the hell we have created for ourselves here – and the way is to follow the spirit of His example."
