I was listening to the news one night (Yes, while chatting on the net with my buds...like you don't do that too! ) and I heard a short clip about some guy giving land back to the Indians . I thought the whole story was going to come on so I listened to the entire news cast! Which I seldom do, and nothing..I missed it! rats! With my awesome powers of searching the net, I went straight to the news web page and tried to find the information. Rats again! Couldn't find it! I was beginning to wonder if I dreamed it...I am a pretty good dreamer. ;D I searched Noah's news, found some neat stuff but nothing on this. So, in a half hearted attempt I emailed the TV station and asked about it. I was really surprised to find an email back from them that same day! How cool is that? The email had a lot of strange symbols I didn't understand in it, must have something to do with broadcasting, but I cut that out and here it is! SO, A GREAT BIG THANKS to WTHR! Oh yeah, here is the news;
This is a story that begins about 30 years ago, but it's about one man trying to right a wrong from centuries past.
<"We bought the land in 1970 but the land originally belonged to the Miamis and they sold it to the government for six point four cents an acre and they never got paid for it.">
So now Stan Calvert is giving it back.<"More than 150 acres of land for free and there's only one catch. Calvert made the Miamis sign a deed that prohibits commercial development or casinos.">
<"(mouth open) that was my reaction.">
<"IT's about 700 to 900 thousand dollars worth of gifting land. Why? I don't know why other than the passion this man has to do something right for native americans.">
<"I bought it to have a place to hide. I wanted to get away from the city and people. I was looking for tranquility.">
Now more than 30 years later, he's found... peace if mind. LD, CH 13, EYWN.

I hope this helps!
