The following e-mail was written in response to a link that was e-mailed to me. It was for a website that said Barack Obama is the Anti-Christ. It will be in Navy print below:
The implication that President-Elect Obama is the Anti-Christ is simply ludicrous, and is not supported by any Biblical references. The Anti-Christ is never specifically named in the Bible.
Furthermore, according to the doctrine and theology of most all Evangelical Christian Denominations (i.e. Rev. John Hagee, Rev. Jessie Duplantis, Rev. Kenneth Copeland, Bishop T.D. Jakes, Rev. Paula White, and Rev. Rod Parsley, Rev. Hal Lindsay [Bible Prophecy Theologian] of various Pentecostal Denominations, and also Rev. Billy Graham, Rev. Jerry Falwell, Rev. Rex Humbard, and Rev. Jack & Rev. Rexella Van Impe [Bible Prophecy Theologians] of the Baptist Denomination), IF Barack Obama was indeed the Anti-Christ, then "The Rapture" would have already taken place. I say this, because according to the sources cited above, and most of all according to the Biblical timeline of Prophecy and End Times, we will know who the Anti-Christ is, however, "The Rapture" (Second Coming of Christ, when He takes all the "Saved" Christians back to Heaven with Him) takes place BEFORE the Anti-Christ is put into his position of power. Since Barack Obama was put into his position of power last night, and I have not heard a word about mass disappearances or abductions on the news this morning, plus I am still here typing this e-mail to you, it is a safe bet that Barack Obama is NOT the Anti-Christ.
After "The Rapture" is the time period of seven years called "The Great Tribulation." It is during this time that the Anti-Christ reigns, and people are forced to take the "Mark Of The Beast" in order to buy or sell anything. People not having this mark will be put to death. Blood will run in the land so deep, it will touch the bridle of a horse. That is in the Bible. The people who get "Saved" during this time and refuse the "Mark Of The Beast," and are put to death are called the "Martyrs." (For more information on them, read "Fox's Book Of Martyrs.") At the end of these seven years, Jesus will return to earth again, along with all the Christians that were "Raptured" before "The Great Tribulation." It is at this time that Jesus will meet the Anti-Christ in the "Battle Of Armageddon." The Christians will ride into battle alongside Jesus, as the Anti-Christ will have his minions with him. Jesus defeats him once and for all, and banishes him to Hell forever. At this time, "The New Heaven And The New Earth" come down. We will reign with Jesus and live in this new world forever. This time period is called "The Millennium Reign." This is straight from the Bible and Pentecostal Doctrine.
I loathe websites like the one you sent me about Barack Obama being the Anti-Christ. Sites like that are created by narrow-minded bigots who only have one agenda. And that is to set this country and society back 100 years or more in race relations and civil rights.
Being an American Indian and minority in this country, I have faced this kind of mindset all of my life. So did my Ancestors before me. For example, when the Spanish Conquistadors landed and first encountered Indians, they consulted with the Catholic Priests that they brought along with them to determine whether we Indians had souls or not, or whether we were Anti-Christs or not. The Catholic Priests determined that we could not possibly have souls, so the Conquistadors slaughtered so many Indians that it was said the feet of the Conquistadors never touched the ground on their way up to and down from the top of the mountain there. Why? Because they were walking on the bodies of the dead Indians they massacred.
You probably don't know this, but it was not until 1968 that American Indians in the good ol' USA were given citizenship. Before 1968, we were not considered citizens, and of course, could not vote. This means that my father was a grown man, married, with two children before he was able to vote. It is my sisters and me - our generation - that is the FIRST generation in our family to be able to register to vote at 18, and vote in every election since. This is something we take seriously. When we go vote, we're not only voting for ourselves, but we are casting that vote for all of our Ancestors who never had the chance to vote. Those who were denied the right.
And last night, when Barack Obama was declared President-Elect, tears rolled down my face and I felt this awesome feeling of positive energy welling up in my very soul. Cause I never once thought I would ever see a minority President in my lifetime. I am so awestruck by what happened. I feel God is doing a great work here in America, to make a day when a minority can be President. I cannot tell you how much it would have meant to me as a kid to see a President that had skin darker than mine, and think "Hey! If he can do it, maybe I can too!" You see, there were no famous role models for minority kids when I was a little boy. All of these things I have told you is why I get so angry when I see websites like the one you sent me. Besides being completely false and written by someone who quite obviously doesn't know any of the Bible, it is simply racist, bigoted, and narrow-minded.
I sincerely hope and pray that you do not seriously believe that website. I told you this a long time ago, but it warrants repeating: Don't believe everything you read on the internet! Just because it's on the internet does not make it true! Look, it's fine if you disagree with Barack Obama's politics. That is a different matter altogether. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But, when a person starts making up things about someone that aren't even true - simply out of hatred (and make no mistake, that is a hate site) from a narrow-minded, bigoted, false standpoint, well, then, that is completely out of line and is certainly not coming from a place of love. Remember... Jesus gave us but one Commandment while He was on this earth. He Commanded us to Love one another as He has loved us. Keep that in mind and re-read that site and ask yourself if that site is written in a loving manner towards Barack Obama, towards African-Americans, towards minorities, and towards all peoples. I think you will find it is not.
P.S. Those steps at the Capitol that Barack Obama will stand on when he takes the Oath Of Office were built by slaves. That's something, ennit? I bet they never dreamed that one day a man who looked like them would stand on those steps they were building and take the Oath Of Office and become President Of The United States Of America. America became greater yesterday.
I have decided not to include a link to the website in question. I refuse to drive any traffic to their site.
